Bodybuilding - a sport involving strenuous physical exercise in order to strengthen and enlarge the muscles of the body.

Eugen Sandow – born Friedrich Müller in Prussia (Now Russia) in 1867 – was the first modern bodybuilder. He was inspired to begin weightlifting and strength training after seeing classical statues on holiday with his father in Rome. He is known as the father of bodybuilding.

Bodybuilding is not just mass monsters and steroids, bodybuilding is anyone who wants to sculpt or ‘build’ their bodies.

TRAINING

There are a number of ways to train; whether it’s upper body and lower body or push and pull workouts or the popular bro splits which is isolated to the body parts e.g. arm day; chest day; back day; shoulder day; leg day etc. The best routine is the one that fits in with your lifestyle. This is how to stay consistent. For me, training in the morning 5 days a week (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs and Saturday) before I start working works best and I use the bro split.

NUTRITION

you can't outrun your fork – food is as important to your life as training is, protein helps your muscles to grow, carbs and fat provide the fuel. For longevity you should prioritize home cooked meals and try to avoid processed foods. Keep it simple and you will be able to sustain this lifestyle.
